Tekton sockets/wrenches are the cream of the crop. Lifetime NO BS warranty. Their master socket sets are 100% worth the money. I have 1/4 and 3/8 sets. Once you hit 1/2in though I'd want impact sockets only.
I'll bite OP. Big fan of tekton. I snagged their master 3/8 set when it was $125. Worth every penny even with the price increase. You won't find a more complete socket set. 10/10.
Use safety glasses. I have no issues using tekton chrome sockets on my 1/4 and 1/2in impacts. YMMV depending on the torque application. The drive side will get pretty beat up.
Sorry. I posted this while baked last night and couldn't think. I have some husky metric ratcheting wrenches which are fairly short. (box store brand) It doesn't help that I'm only 130lbs either. I think I'm going to start using a pipe or wrench extender.
Does any one use 1/4in a lot? I've used it with large bolts such as 1/2in and 9/16 and my Tekton ratchet feels like it's going to snap like a pretzel. Maybe my extension is causing so much flex? I have 3/8 tools but damn. I literally feel like I'm going to snap the anvil off this ratchet.
They're all the same. All those sockets are made in Taiwan. If you can and need sockets buy their master 3/8 set for $180. Comes with every 3/8 socket you'll ever need along with a ratchet and breaker bar.
Probably in the middle. I'm just a DIY guy/weekend warrior. Tekton hits the sweet spot for me in terms or performance, reliability, and warranty.
Master 3/8 set for $125 I bought a few years ago. Best purchase ever.
