Where is best location for the compressor?

really depends on the size and style compressor you will be putting in. there are places in there you could tuck a small stand-up, or there are places that have a bit more space for something like a 180 gallon lay-down style unit. give us some information as to what you're intending to...

    air compressor question

I would double check that the bottom end is indeed oil-free, terrible things like 'hydraulicing' can happen when oil seeps past a ring. another thing to consider is that you would have to move your condensate drain bung.

    Mini-polisher's vs die grinders

My shop owns the AP polisher. We are a production collision shop, and it sees a lot of wear and tear between 3 painters, still kickin'. Solid little tool for the cash.

mac or snap on air tools

depends on the vintage of the tools, if its anything Mac made within the past 5 years, I would go for the Snap-On.

    HF 3/8 Metric Deep

Im just talkin' regular chromevadium suckers. They'd be on the end of a 3/8 air rachet that puts down a reliable 45ft/lb, so maybe they'd be alright! I've lost two snappy's within two weeks, and at $30/socket, If these are any good I might just make the cost effective switch.

    HF 3/8 Metric Deep

3/8 Drive, 10pc Metric Deep Set I know it must be in the HF pass/fail thread, but sifting through 115 pages to find it really isn't what I'd like to spend the next two days doing, haha! Did they pass? Has anyone managed to break one yet? Thanks ya'll!

    A little rust repair

Thanks everyone! Yes, I made the entire piece from scratch, by hand. Unfortunately, bossman was really crackin' the whip today, so I had it welded, planished and primed before I could snap a picture. I will definitely post a picture of the finished product, though. I have had no training on...
