Oops. Yes - I put that in for temp outlet while I worked and plan to install a WR exterior outlet in that corner in its place. Thanks for pointing that out…I guess I’d realise it was behind insulation eventually!

For the HVAC I had a lot of #10 UF that I wanted to use up. For the loft stove I used 8/3 UF becasue it was $3 per foot vs $6.28 per foot for NM. As to the feeder I cant say why the retired electrician ran it that way and it was a pita.

Not finished but plodding along. Wiring and insulation finished and hope to ave drywall delivered this week and then hopefully have it installed next. There are a few more photos on progress in the mini split post. I did not install a sub-panel or do any of that stranded the electrcian mentioned...

Thanks - Wall height in garage is 10ft loft is 8ft roof is 12/12 pitch. I tinkered with the design quite a bit as covid pushed the start date. There are definitely a few things I would change but all in all im pleased. I'll finish insulation tomorrow in garage level and that will be complete...

Due to my wall configuration in loft (photo above) Im looking at the pioneer floor/ceiling mount unit. Anyone have any opinions on Pioneer and/or floor/ceiling mount units?

Ok thanks others mentioned two units as well. Wiring is not a problem. What’s your opinion on the “floor standing” and locating it to the left corner of dormer? Any opinions on the mr cool losers or pioneer at HD or other place’s to source DIY pre charged?

Thanks for that info - had not seen those. Just now searching them and also see "floor standing" units which could also work. Was trying to keep head somewhat centered in the loft area - maybe that doesn't matter. Ive never had mini split so new to me. Also kind of indecisive on whether or not...

Thanks for the response. I was planning on running outlets in garage at 40" from floor and in the loft area 18" from floor.

2X6 studs in garage level and 2X4 studs in loft area. What is the required code min/max distance for holes from face of stud for routing Romex? Also.. What is the required code min/max distance for receptacles from concete garage floor?
