Got two of them and they work fine for me, yes the metal is thin but i only had an issue with one door because I had a ton of **** hanging off of it lol. I got the last one on sale for 35 bucks and they work well for me.
I ran into the tool rep there and i have talked to him several times before. I had my boys with me and he was like if you buy it now and let him take a picture of my boys with the tools he would knock 20 bucks off so i got the surge, the batteries, the charger and a free extra battery for $179
I picked up the new M12 Surge impact the other day, got the one with the charger and 2 batteries and then a free 2.0 battery and the rep was there and gave me another 20 off so I paid $179 for all of it.
I just picked up a thousand plus 2.5" deck screws for 45 bucks, I also picked up some cherry stairtreads like 8 or 10 inches wide by 3 plus feet long for 10 bucks a piece and also maple stair treads for 5 a piece.
I have been to a few fires because of this very thing. One engulfed the garage the other burned itself out on a wooden workbench but filled the garage and the house with heat and smoke.
Not sure but I have the watchung store me by where I work and both bridgewater stores are right down the street from my home. I also have milltown and the North Brunswick store too to check .
Depending on what you need the stuff for if your looking for a basic DIY home stuff then the Ryobi is fine but if you need something a little more heavy duty then the Dewalt or Milwaukee, would be the way to go. Right now the Milwaukee brand is coming out with alot of stuff if I wasn't already...
