New No-Name Lift or Used Brand Name lift?

I've had my atlas 9koh for almost 2 years and have used it a ton. Absolutely love it, does everything I need it to and have no regrets. I also didn't want to hassle with used equipment with unknown history. IMO it's a helluva lot better/safer than laying under a car on jack stands!

    Compressor Platform Ideas

I used these on my 60 gal: http://www.zoro.com/g/Neoprene%20Floor%20Mount%20Vibration%20Isolators/00055903/ Absolutely zero vibration through the floor. Just pick the right size for the weight you're supporting.

Keeping auto lift plugged in 24/7?

I hardwired mine, but put a master disconnect right by the motor in case I need to cut power to the motor quickly for any reason.

    vct flooring 1 year old

I tiled around the lift. I scored the line I wanted to cut on the tile, then cut it out with tin snips. Actually worked pretty well and I was able to make pretty intricate cuts to fit tight around the lift posts.

    vct flooring 1 year old

I have commercial grade tile, but I mix/matched brands. The gray tiles are Mannington and the black is Armstrong. Found the gray on craigslist for 50 cents a tile and the black from HD for around 80 cents I believe. I used the Henry adhesive that Lowes sells b/c that's all I could find...

    vct flooring 1 year old

I use the **** out of my garage with VCT tiles. Snow, salt, sand, grease, oil, dropped tools & car parts. I build engines, transmissions, rearends in there. Easy to clean and make look good again with a broom and mop. And there's no way in hell I could have duplicated this look with...

    Garage heater

My nat gas reznor 60k is my favorite thing in the garage 6 months out of the year! I keep it at 58° and turn it up to 64° when I'm working out there. R13 in the walls and R30 in the ceiling. Think I've got a total of about $900 invested in it, and it was worth every dime!

    What's your preferred working temperature?

I keep mine at 58F 24/7 and turn it up to 64-65 when out there working. Nothing like working in the garage in a tshirt when it's 11F outside.

    2 post lift questions.

I have an Atlas 9koh 9000lb 2 post from greg smith equipment and have been more than pleased with it. I lift a 3800lb muscle car, 4000lb pickup and 5500lb SUV and it works fantastic! Yes it's chinese, no it's not certified, and I use it safely and intelligently. It's new, is rated to lift far...

Notching truss for 2 post lift

I have a 9KOH and I love it. I was leery about it not having a single point release system, but it turned out to be an absolute non issue for me. It's been by far the best investment I've put in my garage and I don't regret my decision at all.

    car parking on vct

Porcelain tile in a garage just isn't feasible for everyone....;) OP- I would just throw a spare tile under the tires if you're worried about marks

    WD-40 Cologne?

VP C16. When I pull the car into the garage I'll leave it running for 10-15 seconds just to make the garage smell beautiful.

Looks like a cool design. What did you use to fill your control cuts?

    Garage TV's

I have a 42" plasma in the garage. It doesn't distract me too much, mostly have it turned to a ballgame or race and look up when something cool happens.
