Under the attic flooring for now. The attic was decked over the garage before I moved in. The walls I was thinking about eventually trying the hole saw blow in technique, someone I'd talked to mentioned it worked well for him.
I'm sorry, I know there's a gaggle of insulating threads going on right now but not sure this really fit into any of them. Good with my hands, been wrenching professionally for almost 15 years now, but just don't do much of the home type stuff. I was wondering how much pressure the blow in...
I need to insulate the ceiling, was looking at the door as well if needed, just figured I'd do it all in one shot. I need to figure out if a blower has the power to push it under the decking or if I'll have to pull the decking and roll insulation in.
I knew someone here would know. Just standing to the side of it and touching it, it seems pretty thin. Would it be worth trying to add to it as I said, or it's kind of a non issue and move on to other improvements?
I always see diy and pics of insulating garage doors, and mine doesn't look like the type everyone seems to just cut and wedge in board. Thoughts? I don't think it's insulated as is, the door seems thin if it is. I was thinking if there's a type of glue made for the boards that I can glue them...
Can't seem to find it, and didn't notice it skimming through this thread, but is there a stainless top option or just the top mat for the krsc46? My google skills aren't turning up much at the moment, or I'm just doing it wrong lol.
I know the typical press/squeeze in board way, but my door doesn't have the lips to hold the boards in? Would some sort of glue work, or is there something else to use I don't know about? Thanks.
I finally picked one of these up Saturday, last one at the particular store I was at. Pulled a screw and dribbled oil in from an oil gun at work. HOLY **** this thing is nice. Smoother than my matco 88. Going to put fresh lube in my matco to be fair and see, can't say I've ever lubed it since...
I'm local to this, and the pics just seem ragged. Haven't decided if I want to hit him up or not. I was thinking maybe grab one and clean it up for a key box though?
Awesome, thanks guys. Really sounds like it's that simple, I'm garage/home attic all shared space so ventilation and what not is proper. Roll/blow in what I see fit and go. I'm probably going to do the rolls and call it good.
