I might be able to grab a single takeoff from work. I know I've seen hose reels made out of them before... Any other ideas?

I've had a spare 18x9.5 C5 corvette "thinspoke" wheel and a spare 18x10.5 Z06 wheel in my shed for years waiting to be done enough with important projects to mess with them. I've always intended on making one a clock and the other a hose reel.

I've made bar/shop stools out of them before. Take a good looking wheel, slide the front of a crank through the center hub opening and ram and old balancer on it (installing the balancer bolts isnt a bad idea...) Then I installed a flywheel on the other end and screwed a barstool top to that. They are heavy as hell, but indistructable and pretty cool looking peices when finished.

Here's an 18" Mallet wheel I repurposed. I added a piece of wood panel behind the spokes and used the lut nuts to hold studs through the panel.
