Not exactly tool related but I have heard that you can fix a mountain bike tire puncture by removing the tube and stuffing the tire with leaves, grass etc...to build up enough volume in it to support your weight and get yourself home.

This afternoon I used My Shop-Vac to start the siphoning of my fuel tank. ...make sure you take out your vacuum filter as you are likely to **** in a small amount of gas which will stink for a while if it saturates the filter.

    Alternative Uses

it's amazing what you can come up with once a situation arises. i knew someone who made a V-belt out of duct tape...it lasted long enough for him to drive home. duct tape can be pretty much used for anything but, funny enough, it isn't good for it's intended purpose of actual duct work..i...

Does anyone have any cool stories of using thier tools for purposes other than their intended use. I saw a guy using a leaf blower to blow dry his car one day...thought that was interesting.

Made In USA or CANADA does not mean that the individual parts are sourced here....parts could be made overseas with the final product or part of it assembled in North America.

    tool scored!!

I don't like that either...lots of weird shiat can happen....unless they are willed to you then i would stay away. Actually I should clarify that....it's only bad if they used them to make a living..if they just had em in their closet or for occasional use then it doesn't matter as they had no...

    Calculated Shipping $13.45 (eBay)

It's actually more dirty to charge $15 for $4 of actual shipping....they are hiding something. I hide absolutely nothing when I NEG em. They know exactly why I did it...says so right in the comments. Yes I did agree to the shipping...yes I pay for It. I don't ask for my money back...

    Gedore tools?

Yeah....some of it is metal junk... If you haven't read my other thread here's a pic of my gedore wrench...I'll leave it up to you to judge the quality...oh...the crude grind marks can't bee seen on the sides of the wrench in the photos below...

    Calculated Shipping $13.45 (eBay)

That's why you have two EBAY id's...one for buying and one for selling. When I am charged 15 bucks for shipping and it arrives in a 3.98 envelope...the seller get a big red NEG...of course I get one in return but it doesn't matter as a buyer on my buying id. The one I get in return drops my...

How does Channellock keep their prices so low?

Yeah..I have some ancient channelocks as well. They are so old I don't even know how I ended up with them..probably my fathers or grandfathers. I bit rusty but they still function fine. Maybe I should take better care of them.:wtf:

    Ball joint nut size

Not all cars are metric...I personally would buy an entire socket set....usually cheaper than buying them individually and they are the exact same sockets.
