I was all set for mini split, but…

I bought a cottage with 3 LG splits. The temp settings wouldn't go below 60 degrees. But eventually a found a "low ambient" toggle that keeps the temp at 50 degrees.

picts of your in-floor heat set ups.

A little late posting this, I got it up and running around the first of the year. 1350sq/ft, 5 loops approx 275’ ea. Thanks for the help from this forum. So far, very happy!

Slab sensor vs thermostat ambient heat sensor? How do I control my radiant heat?

I’m very new to this, and originally hooked my system to an extra old forced air thermostat that I had laying around. But the boiler turned on and off with every opening of the doors so I wanted to control it exclusively by slab temperature. I also wanted Wi-Fi control and to be able to monitor...

    Abrasive Saw Issue

Having an issue using an abrasive saw .a couple years ago I was widening some wheel dollies so I was cutting some heavy stock. The abrasive saw seem to cut ok for about a quarter of the way through the 1/2” thick barstock, then seemed to slow considerably. I purchased a new abrasive wheel (14”...

Critique My Radiant Board Before I Commit

Got it. Didn’t know how long it takes for all the air to dissipate.

Critique My Radiant Board Before I Commit

Thanks for all the reply’s. How do I allot for make up waster? I’ve seen pics with a clear tube on top of the Spirovent with liquid in it. Is this to monitor that the system is full? I also seem to remember someone used a automotive coolant recovery tank plumbed in somewhere. Not able or...

Thanks. Was just going to ask if I still needed it.

Critique My Radiant Board Before I Commit

Thanks, I did not think of that. Would it be more useful in the primary loop? Or will the boiler let me know the temperature output anyway? And I will move the Spiralvent back up.

Critique My Radiant Board Before I Commit

Thanks, I will eliminate that jog, and get some long sweep elbows. The air eliminator’s came with the manifold, but I do that Spirovent. Is it important that it be the above the water level of the boiler, Or can I move it down? I agree, and wanted to put the pump on the hot side, but in...

Critique My Radiant Board Before I Commit

I’m about to start cutting & soldering, but I’m not completely comfortable, so I’m reaching out for help. Everything in its right place? Anything missing? There is a strainer incorporated in the boiler, also a low water cut out. There is a spot on top pressure for the pressure relief valve...

Hydronic Radiant Heat System Piping Size

I have a 5 gallon bucket of Cryotec 100, my boiler manual says to not go over 35%, so 30% sounds good. My boiler manual says it has a built in pressure sensing LWCO set at 6psi.

Hydronic Radiant Heat System Piping Size

5 loops, my manual recommends a taco 0015-MSF3-IFC or a Grundfos UPS15-58 for what looks like the primary loop. I do have a taco 007, and also a 0010 (more auction booty), wondering if either of those is suitable for the secondary pump.
