    angle grinder

Surprised no one has mentioned comfort. Definitely worth holding a bunch and seeing which one fits your hands. Personally I like the paddles

Looking for a solar powered generator/charger

try clist or fbook for people selling jackerys or similar setups. plenty of people buy them for camping and realize they don't use them. Just make sure you get lithium ion phosphate batteries if you buy used, the original jackerys and other brands were lithium ion but after ~500 charges they...

    Horizontal surfaces ie junk collectors

i may be in the minority but if you're a messy person, the workbench isn't the problem. I'm that guy that cleans up every day i work in the garage, regardless if the project is finished or not. clutter annoys me for numerous reasons, but mostly because if **** is everywhere i spend more time...

Looking for a solar powered generator/charger

Yea, it's a bit excessive. You can prob figure out your needs based on the tool battery sizes, but figure in some loss for the intervers. If you DIY a battery setup its still pricey and then also will have a bigger footprint. the 500w units are too small, and the 1000w units are close in...

Looking for a solar powered generator/charger

I have the below along with 440w panels, works great. Get bigger than you think you need. I had a few 500w units (jackery and some other brand) that worked fine but even with panels they couldn't keep up with even running a fridge...

    Fireball Tool

Agreed. I like his content, super skilled, have a megasquare and will probably buy more, but once you notice his lack of modesty that's all you see in his videos

    Welding Setup?

I'd vote get a bottle and ditch the flux. Welding table is a good idea but the problem i would point out is you don't know your needs yet. I made a welding table/cart as my first project. I cut it up and remade it a couple times, and a few weeks ago got a proper welding table because my...

Welding table base build - Material Q - Langmuir Arcflat

metal supply store was randomly closed yesterday but decided to upgrade the legs since A) they are chincy and B) I want the table a good 4" taller. Sweet tables, 3 of them measure 3'x6' which is perfect for my space

Welding table base build - Material Q - Langmuir Arcflat

Bumping thread, got it put together with the leg kit it came with, according to google they are ~15gauge 3x3 square tube. "seems" fine to support the weight of the 3 tables (450lbs), but worth it to upgrade or just tie them in together by welding bars across them?

Welding table base build - Material Q - Langmuir Arcflat

I'm building a new welding table base and want some opinions. Prefacing all of this with: this is a hobby, in a 2.5 car garage, so the total weight has to be limited to me pushing it around when its on casters. I mostly work on furniture and other random stuff, less 4x4s/vehicles at this point...

    Harbor Freight Electric Pole Saw

I cut down and cut up a tree with it 3-4 years ago. Still works fine. I would recommend it with the caveat that i have no experience with them outside of this one, and its HF.

how would I make a base for this lantern post?

I have 2 50 lb bags of concrete for my mailbox, with about 1 foot of dirt on top of that. Attached to that are stainless wedge anchor bolts that hold down a metal bracket to a 4x4 cedar post, that attaches to a metal bracket that my mailbox sits on. I've yanked on it a ton, doesn't move at...
