So I guess they're pretty rare. What I have came with some tools so I'm trying to figure out what out of that was supposed to come with the box originally and what might have been added through the years.

Nice. Based on the limited research I've done I believe mine is likely 1948-1955...ish. I believe a few years later the decal moved to the top of the box?

I've got what I think is an older Snapon KR65. The "midget" tool box. I believe its the oldest/first version as I cant find any actual model number on it anywhere. Anybody have any more info on these? Any idea what tools should have come with it?

I'd check the rental places a bit more thoroughly. Usually the most expensive way to rent is by the hour or day and its hardly much more to rent by the week or more.

So if anyone else ever needs this info, the waterloo part number is M13414 and the original sears part number is T18512 (now replaced by M13414). Waterloo wanted $3.50 each and it looks like sears parts has them for $2.97 each.

Mine has a rod that does not move with the lock. That rod lines up with a square hole on the back of each drawer where I imagine something like a c-clip would attach. The lock mechanism catches a different spot on the back of the drawer almost like a louver punched out of the rear (maybe...

So upon closer inspection, each drawer is missing the clip that snaps into the rod in the back of the box. I emailed Waterloo as I hope they have the parts. Is there a particular part number or actual name for these things? Its not so much a detent but I assume its going to be a little c-clip...

hmmm.....I know I had a lot of trouble trying to actually lock them shut to transport the box. I had to keep a hand on the front of all the drawers so the lock would catch them all. If I recall correctly if the top is down then maybe it was the uppermost drawer was locked shut but maybe not...

I'll have to look at that and see whats up. Is the friction piece on the guide in the box or on the drawer itself? Is this something that would be craftsman specific? I seem to recall that waterloo (?) made a lot of these craftsman boxes and it might be easier to source parts from them? Any...

I picked up a used craftsman rollaway box and now that I got it in the house I find the drawers wont stay closed. They are ball bearing glides and I've honestly not investigated too thoroughly yet. The glides seem well lubed as the drawer slides nicely and I've not put anything into the box...

I dont know the specifics in the state where this happened; but in NY you cannot directly sue your own employer. So when an employee gets hurt on a site they sue the building/property owner. Hopefully that building owner had someone review the contracts carefully and is indemnified by the GC...
