I'm only a hobbyist so that's where my opinion is coming from and I'm also looking for a cordless impact. I'm seriously considering picking up the kobalt 1/2 in this week. At 279 including 2 batteries and 5 year warranty I'm pretty sure it would meet my needs. Reviews on Lowe's were all positive...
