I went threw this same thing a few years ago when I was truck shopping. I finally ended up choosing gas hands down. Around me gas usually runs about $.40 cheaper then regular gas a gallon so that pretty much killed any savings with the mpg of having a diesel. Plus in reality theres not really a...
I still remember when Fram used to tie a string around the filter media to hold it together. Looks like they havent improved much over the past few years. I use baldwin filters myself or Napa gold/Wix if Baldwin doesnt offer one for the application.
^^^^^ this.
Being a driver for 15 years myself its usually easier to back in off the street most places I go. My current tractor with a 53' trailer is 73' long bumper to bumper. Dont get me wrong it can be done the way your looking to do it, but unless you plan on a truck coming in more then...
Not really a garage question, but I'm looking for a way to clean the decorative tin on my kitchen cabinets. The Mrs' likes the shiny tin look better so I guess thats what I'm aiming for. Also looking for a way to keep them from tarnishing again. Heres what the cabinets look like if thats any...
I had the same problem with a set of ProComp shocks on my old K5 Blazer a few years ago. One side had no resistance and the other side I'm not sure how but it doesnt move at all (even marked the shaft an drove it down the roughest road I know of). I would say you got your life out of them...
My 26' deck over was built the same way. I ended up taking the plasma to those pieces and made new straps out of 1/4"x2" steel at the ends and a 6" wide piece in the center where ends butted up. I also use rough cut sawmill boards that are 2" thick since they are cheaper. I also cut the wood so...
I have a Karcher thats about 15 years old an the only problem I had was the circuit board that controls the heater cracked an had to replace the hose a couple times. Other then those problems its been a great unit.
I havent used wheel weights in years. Every tire I change I use Equal or Dyna-Beads. As far as vavle stems the .425 x1.5" are a good overall size to go with.
I'm not a big fan of Fel-pro gaskets. I had 4 different sets that the fire ring was either to big or too small and the head bolt holes were always a little off. I had damn good luck out of Victor Reinz head gaskets with the graphite face on both sides on my 383 stroker with aluminum heads. One...
Not sure how thick your driveway is but I park my loaded rig (40 ton) on a 5" thick pad with rebar in it. The alley looks doable but personally I would want to come in from the other direction an blind side it in there but thats my 2 cents.
Hi all,
I am in search for some jack stands in the 34-36" heigt area. I cant seem to find any that will go that tall. Anyone have any suggestions on where to find them? Or any good ideas how to make a set thats fairly stable? They are for my rock crawler and its just under 3500lbs.
Thanks in...
