I've had mine a few years and almost immediately had to replace the cap. I used a coolant bottle cap with no problem. As many have noted on other threads, the center plug is worthless, I tossed mine after the first usage.
Touche...well played. I was unaware that Channelock made an opener. However, I looked it up and it's made in China. So Craftsman wins the beer wars.
Craftsman Bottle Opener (#41626). Allows for proper torque amplification without sheering off drinking vessel. The classic driver handle and the lifetime warranty insure that years of easy bottle opening are in your future. Use responsibly.
Re: auto techs: how long before you where set with tools?
x2 --Racking up major debt in tools makes little financial sense. At that point you are not working for income but working to pay off debt.
Do you lose torque foot pounds (+/-) if you use an extension on a torque wrench? For example, doing spark plugs with a 1/2 torque wrench (with a 3/8 adapter) or anything that is hard to reach and should be torqued. Not all of us have multiple torque wrenches to choose from. Thoughts?
