1 1/2 is all you need for vent With 4 DFU and less then 50' (UBC) I believe. Wisconsin has its own plumbing code so it might be A little different. Pit needs to be 30''X18'' min ,pump should have 2'' out let by code here...there again could be different there.

I have in floor heat in my garage I heat it and my house with outdoor wood boiler ..... I love it ....the point made about insulation in the floor is true the only thing it does is speeds up initial start up, heat comes up quicker but regardless of how thick the insulation is it will still heat...
