I would say gorilla was bit better than other options I have used from the big box stores. I stopped using duct tape since modern versions are so bad.
I used gaffer tape for the first time last year, it worked well and is what I remember duct tape being when I was young but much more expensive.
you need a bigger fuse than 20a if your compressor pulls 20a. Is viair’s 20a rating at 14.4 volts or 12v? At 12v it will be more than 20a. It sounds like the fuse is getting hot and letting go from being undersized. Put a 30a in.
Also i have been seeing poorly made chicom molded fuse holders...
I bought the tektons to have a complete inexpensive set in a roll to keep on my work truck. They are ok. i experienced wrench spread for the first time with these wrenches. I grabbed an old craftsman raised panel wrench and was able to complete the job the tekton couldn’t. The fitment is so so...
Seat belts at one time had a specific bolt requirement that was sae. I don't know if this is still true or not. I can imagine child safety latches falling in the same restraints category.
All my old Honda service manuals list the bolt sizes in diagrams and seat belts we’re always in sae.
I do mobile work at a variety of shops so i get to sample A variety of cleaners. Kresto and Snap On are the ones that work the best for me. Both dry out my hands extremely fast. Snap On is fairly popular in small shops that don't have a service and I am surprised by how many have it.
I think...
I used klein for years and switched to channelock. I mostly use non insulated and being closer to the pivot is much easier on the hands.
Channelocks are much smoother to open/close and stay that way much longer
I got both sae and metric in the rolls to keep my work truck. I wanted something inexpensive that would not walk away on its own. They seemed ok until i found something really tight. I discovered something that is talked about on this forum but had never experienced, open end wrench spreading. A...
the dcf 923 will take the crank bolt off a Toyota 4age. A half charged powerstack couldn't do it but when I swapped to a charged 5ah it zipped right off. Not sure how it compares to hondas since this the first toyota i have worked on.
It says sander all over the marketing and on the tool. I don't consider rolocs sanding. I would never have thought of using this as a right angle die grinder with its slow speed.
I can see why they haven’t updated it, it needs a complete redesign. it really is just a polisher not a sander. It needs to have dual action to be a useful sander. It is heavy and uncomfortable to use for long periods. The fat handle design is a problem, with tools you use a few seconds at a...
i regretfully bought the ftz and hated it. The sizing chart is inaccurate and often has you using different sizes on each side of terminal. the paint comes off the markings making them hard to read. The crimp is an ugly is a under/overcrimped, mismatched rounded square shape. Then it takes up...
