    Anyone try ultra lube before

You might want to message/send PM to this member --> ...the resident lube expert IMO.

How can you put a 5/8 pulley on a 1/2 motor shaft?

Yes, you simply buy or fabricate a bushing that makes up the difference in diameter. Brass/bronze. Don't know if it needs a woodruff key or a set-screw? If, you're not handy with a lathe? ..just do a bronze sleeve bearing search on MSC and plug in/search for the ID and OD. It's cake.

Nicked a chunk from my Blue Point wrench. Is this normal?

Is that a *****??? ..your avatar? ...I mean, wtf is up with that? Is it the latest supercharged "jack rabbit" uber tickler mofo?! My mistress would really like to know! ..I showed/asked her, she's into ***** sh|t and I'm game. Seriously. Is it available on Amazon? Post a friggin link...

Williams Screwdrivers - Not Having Good Luck With Them

..the tags say it all.

    1/4 inch safety coupler

Any aluminum bodied coupler is **** and won't hold up to real use, especially if you're prone to dropping your hose on concrete, like I see most knuckle draggers in shops doing. I mean, what's up with that! ..they disconnect whatever tool they're using and just open hand, letting the damned...

    Loctite 242 50ml

...being an anaerobic setting compound, it's normal/necessary for all the containers to be partially empty, thus plenty of air to prevent hardening. The tricky part is knowing exactly what level constitutes "full". Do you have any graduated cylinders? ...decant the contents and measure...

    A 4" Nut, 4" tall, 6" wrench required + a unknown thingy

Jesus and mother Mary, I can't imagine what Snappy would want for a friggin 6" combination wrench?! ..or even a damned 6" socket! Oy vey! ..the chest pains! :yikes:

    The VISES of Garage Journal

My time is limited, but I'll give you guys a quick crash course. Though there are many home brewed recipes, the fastest and easiest is to get you a bottle of Pilkington's from Brownells and follow the directions. The beauty of that method is you don't need a hot/damp box. To save time, and...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

THAT'S A BEAUTY!! ..about as close to a factory fresh finish as I've ever seen. Great job!

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Hey Veeps, I just want to compliment you on all the fine work you do on those vises! I thought I was pretty sick in the head with some of my stunts until I saw those polished jaws you did, that's just sick. :D It's always nice to see somebody worse off to help restore your own resemblances of...

    Wiha Terminator impact bits

They're about the best "impact" rated bit out there. The Milwaukee and other similar ones you'll commonly find in home owner/DIY stores are soft and wear like butter. That way they are "safe" from exploding/fracturing and they keep you coming back for more. Now here's another caveat...

Dial indicator set with roller tip

Forget wasting your money on a dial indicator (especially a junky cheap one), unless you just really want one? If that's the case, there's a difference between a dial indicator and a dial test indicator, and for checking runout you want the later. Roller tips are never used on a DTI. Do a little...

    Klein Phillips screwdriver opinions?

Klein have gone downhill, as others have mentioned. They are just too soft and wear rapidly if you use them frequently. If you want a high quality, modern screwdriver, THESE are about as good as it gets in a currently made driver. I own and like Snap On screwdrivers for automotive, but I'm...

    Stanley Tools quality?

I'd suggest, whatever you get, painting them all a nice bright PINK, so hopefully they won't grow legs and walk off. Any kind of nice tool has a bad habit of that!
