They're about the best "impact" rated bit out there. The Milwaukee and other similar ones you'll commonly find in home owner/DIY stores are soft and wear like butter. That way they are "safe" from exploding/fracturing and they keep you coming back for more.


Now here's another caveat. Sometimes you don't want that much torsional flex because it fails to break the fastener loose. In that case you want THESE. Zephyr is top dog in the world of insert bits IMO/E and what I use most.

I use the wera power bits and the wiha impactor. If you want to check them out KC tool has them on sale for $4 each, which is by far the cheapest I've seen.
