Hey guys Im trying to put an AC/HEAT window unit in my garage. I've installed everything and my the unit won't work right. So my question is I know im suppose to use 12-2 wire but for a crazy strange reason I used 10-2 wire could that be causing the problem?

Ok guys thank you all for the info, I used it all the links after work. And crawled under the house and found the problem. "lOOSE WIRE" that's it.

I understand, I was just seeing if there were some other common problems.
