    Gearwrench Warranty - Thumbs Up

I've had great experience with GW as well. I had a problem with a tool, they had a new one sent to my door a few days later, no questions asked.

I’m sorry. I have no idea how that happened. It was in my subscribed threads and I thought it was recent.

    First Automotive Job Tools????

I’m not a mechanic, but from my experience with tools I’d recommend this based on your list. Save a few dollars and get the harbor freight dead blow hammers. Spend the money you saved on knipex pliers. Once you use knipex, you never want to go back to cheap pliers. I don’t know if they...

    Mismatched sockets...

I just found my 3/8 10mm socket last week. I never thought that was possible. Now I’m only missing a 1/4 8mm socket. I looked at the Icon sockets and I wasn’t impressed. Gearwrench sockets look to be of better quality and they come on a nice rail. Advance auto had good prices on Gearwrench...

    Compound Miter Saws

Looking at buy my first miter saw. I found this Metabo HPT (Formerly Hitatchi) at Lowes and Amazon for $90. Looks like a great deal. Does anyone have any experience with this saw? Or a recommendation for a similar saw? https://www.amazon.com/Metabo-HPT-Compound-10-Inch-C10FCGS/dp/B07PX44JQM/...

Thanks for posting that. Is $399 the best price they've had on the 44" rolling cabinet? $185 for the 5 drawer cart.

    Mechanic Tools: Husky or Dewalt

Husky and Dewalt hand tools will probably be very similar in quality. I’d go with whatever name or case you prefer. Husky used to have some rebranded Gearwrench tools, including Matco torque wrenches, but they switched them to some Chinese sourced torque wrenches a few years ago. You can...

    Felo Tools, any good?

Those are horrible prices for the Wera Craftform screwdrivers. I’ve seen them for sale around $25-$30.

    Felo Tools, any good?

You’re correct. I remember seeing some of their screwdrivers made in Europe, but they were made in France.

    Felo Tools, any good?

They are a German brand like Wiha or Wera. They make good screwdrivers but I haven’t seen any of their other tools.
