Plain old F80 for me I was going to buy a Zyklop, but I'm surprised it's not a go-to for anyone...

So I guess I had the base spun around wrong in the previous vise photos... Turns out I was able to mount it with 6" lags in the front and bolted it in the back.

Managed to be able to squeeze the cars into the garage for snowstorms this winter... but brings any progress on, or work in garage to a halt...

My father has a jointer and dowel jig, so I used that with wood glue... Still took a lot of planing, filling and sanding after... And I'm not totally happy with the result... MAKE SURE YOUR BOARDS ARE DRY AS A BONE FIRST

Floor to unfinished ceiling is 11'3". The lift cross member is up inside the truss, but I can still lift most cars up as high as the lift can go. Still need to re-run the safety stop cable before I crunch something. I'm about 5'10.5 and I can stand up under the center of most cars, but not...

I thought of the heavy plate idea but was imagining about 1/2".... Is that crazy overkill? 1/4" would be much cheaper! Or should I go hitch mount style? or this? http://www.amazon.com/Miller-Electric-300612-Mount-Plate/dp/B004HF0JW8/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1425310071&sr=8-11&keywords=vise+plate

A couple new additions: Had this laying around, so just got a mount and antenna. Some more free cabinets too... I have another angled piece I'll be putting next to cabinet on the far left. They are a little off color, but the price was right. Oh, and got the cabrio running this weekend...

I think being for sale by owner had a lot to do with it, but either way, no one warned me against it. If I had the choice of either having the place empty, or all that stuff again I'm not sure what I'd choose. But as a first home, it was a blessing as far as yard tools (snow blower, chain saws...

Yes, once all the walls were boarded up, it was so much brighter in there! Then I went and bought 8 fluorescent lights to replace the 3 or 4 old ones that were there, and its awesome how bright it is. I will be insulating and boarding the ceiling, but I'm not sure if I'll be doing that before...
