Good news is, I put a call in to the guy who is responsible for getting the building cleaned out by the end of the month. He found the threaded shaft and donut and will put them aside for me until next week when I can pick them up.
The parts were steel as was suggested, and he only...
I acquired a few boxes of miscellaneous tools and this was among them. I might have something else that goes with it but don't know what it is. The three pieces feel like cast aluminum, about 5-6" long. Any thoughts?
My wife complained that she could not turn down the shower flow enough. Because of the posi temp type valves that are code now, you can only run at one speed so I installed a little chrome valve before the shower head that enables the after mixing valve flow to be further regulated. I...
Sounds like you will end up with a nice welding table if you have the space. I would lean toward bolting it to whatever base you fabricate and then you have lots of options to get it as flat as you want. I personally would have no problem fabricating something on a perfectly flat surface and...

i've never been a hobby woodworker so my opinion might be different but when chop saws and decent portable table saws came out, I never used a radial arm saw again. I personally owned a 14" Dewalt mounted on a trailer that saw framing duty, and a 9" DeWalt that saw trim work. In later years I...
Modified Harbor Freight Pick up bed jib, 2500# ATV winch/remote, and power supply/jumper box. The supplied base was cut off the jib crane and welded to 3" pipe. The 3" mast quickly mounts down through a bracket in the bed and into a receiver that sits on top of my frame mounted receiver hitch...
