I had the hardest time ever not saying anything.I would have paid $500.... I just need to order some parts and was trying to identify. I never thought they were as overbuilt as they are. It's clearly 10 years old, maybe older, and it's still like a tank!

There isn't a rivet hole in sight. The Simpson meter is an amp meter. It reads 1-10 amps. Sorry big bad dad... I'll try and keep my comments PG :). Aside from that I guess I'll just break it down, throw some dark gray powder on it, piece her back together, and call it a day.
General finishes high performance or Arm-R-Seal is the Nuts! Woodcraft has it in stock. I have had arm-r-seal on my benches for 4 years. I Take acetone to it all the time, and it has still held up. High performance is their newer " Cadillac" formula and works really well. Just my .04 cents.
If it's cast aluminum (like mic-6) it would be more resilient to damage, but it's really hard to determine without Bill Nye. Never used an aluminum welding table. I feel like 1" solid would be tough to warp. Thoughts?
