Its cheap. I'd check his references and check out other jobs he's done, REMEMBER you get what you pay for. I also wonder the same thing, AND I'll bet that most of those that feel that way also feel THEY are UNDERPAID for what they do.

I believe it has to be 12", not positive though,check the one in the house. If you measure to the bolts just remember they are on the sides of the flange, so split the difference.

I have something similar that Craftsman put out, don't know if they are still available, but I didn't like them, slipped off the bolts one time too many for me.

I put a few drops in the air line before I connect it, and then spin it a couple of times.

Shouldn't ever reuse the locking nut, It's not recomemded, I usually replace them.

I have the IR thunder gun, just to check it I snapped the U-bolts on the front springs of my F-350. I was changing the springs anyway and putting on new U-bolts, so I had a few laughs. Killer gun, you have to be careful with it, it WILL snap bolts, it's everything they say it is!! :thumbup:
