From what you said it sounds like I need this and a separate power switch.

Thanks Wylies. I...
I'm in the process of building a forging press. It's going to have a 7.5 hp single phase motor. I installed a Square D magnetic starter for my 5 hp compressor but that's all the knowledge I have on them. As I was searching for a power switch for the 7.5 I came a cross a manual on/off motor...
Strouty.... check and clean out all of the lines. I just acquired a hot water washer a few months back. It's gas and a Karcher so not the same model as yours but it had clogs all over. Mud dobbers made a mess of a lot of it but there was also sand and mud in the base of the gun. It was mainly...
I thought I'd share my newest project. My father-in-law got a Karcher hds 1200 be from a friend from a local business because the boss was sick of looking at it. He couldn't get water to come out so he gave it to me. The wand was just clogged with muck. It does need a few things fixed on it...
I have a retractable Tekton hose reel that is maybe 3-4 years old. A few months back I had a special fitting that cracked. I just emailed them about buying a new one fitting and they shipped one out free of charge. Well, my hose reel wouldn't lock in place so the hose would just wind back in. I...
I haven't really browsed their tools a whole lot but am going too. Our local Big R now has a whole isle of Tekton tools. I've never stopped and paid much attention. I'm going to next time I go.
I'll have to try their hybrid hose. I'm rough on air hoses or I just haven't had a good one. I...
I know Tekton isn't one of the best tool names out there but I wanted to post about their customer service. I only have a couple of there tools. My main being their retractable air hose reel. I've had the reel for maybe 4 years. When I first purchased it the hose developed a leak within a few...
You want to make sure the rpm's of your new motor are the same as the old. The pump is designed to run at a certain rpm. As Dave already mentioned a 50 rpm difference is nothing. As he also mentioned hp is just as or even more important. If that pump is designed for a 5 hp a 3 hp is going to...
I had the same problem with a couple of bolts on my Sierra. I drilled it, let the engine warm up, and use an extractor. They came right out. I had plenty of room to work tho. I could hear a leak so I finally replaced them about a month later. If you need a project I say replace it. If not, I...
Thanks for all your help Wylie. I will use a separate circuit. The main panel is in the garage. There's a 100 amp sub panel in the house so the main has a bunch of open spots. Being that it's only a small fan I could probably just come off a nearby outlet.
I plan on building an outbuilding in...
Thanks Matt. All of that is over my head. The only time I would worry about an auxillary fan would be when using the blast cabinet due to the compressor running more. The pressure switch does have 2 sets of contacts.
Wylie....I understand the separate overcurrent. I just figured since it would...
That makes sense. I guess the wiring would be a little more involved or atleast over my head. I'm guessing it would involve splicing into the pressure switch into overcurrent protection for the fan. What I'm pretty much saying is I think I'll just turn the fan on by hand.
I will definitely take a look at the heater table.
One more question for the pro's. I have my compressor in a room behind the garage. There's a door in the corner of the garage, about 5 stair treads, and that leads to aboit a 10'x30' room. Our yard is graded for a walkout so i assume that's why...
Great info MM. Thanks for that. I just wonder how many others have the wrong heater being that it's sold as a package. I have a grainger about 30 minutes away so will probably head over and get the correct one today. Menards is 20 minutes but not sure if they would sell heaters or not.
Thanks...
