Manual electric starter as power switch?

I'm in the process of building a forging press. It's going to have a 7.5 hp single phase motor. I installed a Square D magnetic starter for my 5 hp compressor but that's all the knowledge I have on them. As I was searching for a power switch for the 7.5 I came a cross a manual on/off motor starter. Can that also be used as a power switch or is that what they're made for? I want to be able to move the press around if need be so my plan was breaker, to starter, to outlet. Is there anything wrong with my plan? If the starter isn't suppose to be used as a power switch does anyone know of a good power switch? Looks like the motor is 33 amps.

Thanks!

post the link of what you found.

That 7.5HP motor will most likely need a motor starter (contactor and overload relay) as it doesnt appear to have integral thermal overload protection. a manual motor starter usually doesnt have such protection

i wouldnt trust the item in the first link.

The SQ D one should suit you well and that may be the correct heater for your motor. you will need to verify
