    A question for Window installers.

Hiball, what are you referring to when you say reveal, is the interior trim in place? Under no circumstances should the frame move when pushed or pulled? If the windows are new construction/nail fin, from my experience a standard size is supported by shims on the bottom corners only, the nail...

    Composite decking picture framing

A round over is a great finishing touch after a board is ripped but make sure the product you choose supports it. Some products are capped with a different material and a round over would expose the inside of the board.

Small Engine Experts - Engine cuts out while running

Thanks for all the replies. To answer some questions about design and what may have happened: the prime bulb ‘can’ be replaced without removing the carb, and that is what happened originally. In addition, there is a metering diagram, something I wasn’t familiar with, sitting under the prime...

    Framing nail length

my opinion, it won’t fall apart based on that nail size. But, with a project of that scope, what is the financial impact of one additional box of nails?

    Framing nail length

Are you asking code or are you asking if it will fall apart? What do you mean by “framing a space”? If you are framing a closet in a basement that does not require inspection, go for it, you will be fine. if you are adding a two story addition, find out your local code requirements.

Need some advice on how to go about recent hailstorm roof

Unfortunately the roofing insurance world contains some dishonest roofers, a few notes: A roofer cannot pay the deductible. You can connect the roofer of your choice and insurance company and let them work out the replacement details. Or you can get the insurance estimate and take their...

If you look up the GAF Pro Field Guide you will be able to see all of the manufacturer requirements. Depending on what warranty they sold you they have several requirements they must fulfiil. Thanks, Mark
