Circular saw with laser

I am trying to fulfill a gift request for a circular saw with a laser guide, but it looks like this is a feature added to lower quality saws. Is there a saw on par with the dewalt DWE575SB that includes a laser guide?

Best gift you can give is NOT buying a gimmick like laser mounted circ saws


Unless there is some really odd reason they need it, grab them a good standard circ saw and straight edge or... track saw

Theres a reason none of the higher tier saws dont feature a laser

Aside from laser being pointless on a circ saw, it would be wicked dangerous for an inexperienced soul to attempt to correct the direction of a freehand cut based on a laser line... track saw or even simple straight edge is the answer.

I cannot for the life of me fathom why a laser would be useful on a circular saw.

the laser gives the cat something to chase while you are trying to cut a 2x4 without sawing the cat in half…

If you really want a tool that guides your cut buy a tracksaw. Laser on a circ saw is only as good as your technique.
