Garage workshop concrete dusting? Need to seal before putting Laminate flooring on?

This is in Los Angeles. Humidity is not a problem compared to the South. It's not a climate controlled space, but it is insulated and the temperatures don't really vary as much as my house does.

Garage workshop concrete dusting? Need to seal before putting Laminate flooring on?

Hello everyone! I have an old garage workshop and I'm planning on putting down flooring very soon. I believe I may have "concrete dusting", as it seems to be always dusty in there (even on newly placed items within a couple of days) and I am able to scratch the surface with a philips head...

Two POTS lines -> 1 Ethernet?

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm trying to go about 10-15 feet in buried PVC conduit. I'd want as close to gigabit as possible. The intent would be to have an office in the garage workshop that is fed from the home. Wifi doesn't have the reach. I think I'm going to keep investigating...

Two POTS lines -> 1 Ethernet?

I've seen that there is plenty of info online about running phone through a CAT5, but what about the opposite? I've got two 4 wire lines that are running through underground PVC conduit between a detached garage and the house. I tried tugging from both ends of the conduit, and it doesn't seem...

Are these two breakers on the same phase/leg?

No, it's detached. The garage is probably around 70 years old. Was it always the case that a main breaker is needed?

Are these two breakers on the same phase/leg?

This is the garage sub panel. There is a panel outside that controls this along with another sub panel inside the house. Does this still need a main?

Are these two breakers on the same phase/leg?

Please see the attachment. Are the two QOT tandem circuit breakers in the red boxes on the same phase/leg of the panel? I believe this to be a Square D panel and is a subpanel, not a main panel.

Single Pole Tandem Breaker - Can one side be unused?

I have a Square D Single Pole Tandem Breaker as shown in the borrowed image below: Question - Do I need to have two hot wires connected to a tandem breaker, or can I just use this tandem as a single breaker by removing one of the wires?

Is my MWBC on the same Leg?

I'm perfectly happy with deleting one leg of each branch circuit. Can I just remove one of the hots, leaving the other hot and a neutral for each? I assume I'm okay with leaving only one wire on each circuit breaker? One outlet can easily be wired to the opposite part of a MWBC since the whole...

Is my MWBC on the same Leg?

So just to clarify, it sounds like you're indirectly also saying that I can just disconnect part of the MWBC to make it a regular circuit. The unwired circuit breakers can sit in the panel.

Is my MWBC on the same Leg?

Yes, I have MWBCs, but from what you guys are saying, they're both on the same legs. I actually have two rows of this going on in the panel, but right next to each other: MWBC1 MWBC1 (sharing a neutral) MWBC2 MWBC2 (sharing a different neutral) It looks like the home seller (a licensed...

Is my MWBC on the same Leg?

Please see the attached image of my main breaker panel. There is a subpanel to the house, and another one to the garage. It appears that I have a MWBC (two hots and 1 neutral wire between them), but there's only two outlets on it. The hot wires are connected to the circuit breakers in the red...

Splitting wood: Framing Nailer vs. Hammer/Palm Nailer

Assuming the same nail sizes, are air framing nailers less likely to split wood vs. using a hammer or palm nailer?

24" OC 2x4" Rafter ties - Can I drywall the "Ceiling"?

Really odd - it shows up fine in Chrome on the PC, but not in Firefox or Chrome on the iphone. The pic was posted to imgur, if that matters. Edit: pictures added in original post as attachments.

24" OC 2x4" Rafter ties - Can I drywall the "Ceiling"?

Here's a pic of the situation. Those are 2x4s going about 19.5 feet across the width of the garage/workshop. There's about 3/8" plywood covering most of the room, laid on top of the rafter ties. There's thin metal straps holding up the rafter ties and attached the the 2x6" rafters themselves...
