    New Kreg Tool Cordless Lineup

Ever since Kreg tool built their new building between Des Moines and Ankeny I've wondered if they do any kind of tours or have a museum when I drive by every couple of months. I have some Kreg tools and like them quite well, but as with many others I don't see myself buying into their cordless...

    Air Ratchet Wrench Recommendation

As far as air ratchets go I like this 3/8" impacting one from Harbor Freight. I really prefer the impacting feature as it doesn't try to smash my fingers into what ever object is near when the fastener seats. https://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-impacting-air-ratchet-wrench-68426.html

    3d printer software

Solidworks maker for $48 a year, and it's a great software. Onshape is free. I use both of these and both work good but I'd pick only 1 to try to learn. even from the list of other suggestions above. Using multiple CAD software will confuse you more than help, especially starting out as the...

    Suggestions for a TPMS tool?

My Autel TS508WF wakes the factory installed TPMS sensors on our Honda just fine. If the Honda sensors are brand new, not yet programmed the Autel wouldn't do anything with those until they are programmed with whatever tool Honda sensors require.

How hard is it to change car tires yourself?

Without knowing exactly which year of Sienna you have I just tried both the 2013-2016 and 2021-2024 The 2013-16 caps out at 50.9 PSI like our Odyssey. The 2021-24 caps out at 50.5 PSI Then programmed the sensor for a 2024 Ford Super Duty and it shows my spare tire is at 57.6 PSI, so now that...

How hard is it to change car tires yourself?

I have the Autel TS508WF tool and use the Autel MX sensors I didn't think that it would matter what vehicle these were programmed for and that they would read out up to 80PSI. However, this little experiment proved otherwise to me. So depending on what vehicle you have it may read up to the 60...

How hard is it to change car tires yourself?

I'd thought about adding a TPMS sensor to the wives minivan for awhile myself since I have a scan/programming tool. About 3 weeks ago I finally decided to see if there was enough room in the doughnut and broke down just the outer bead and then removed the original valve stem and while I did have...

    Wireless headset recommendations

If you are looking for a good work headset I agree with Citation above. The Plantronics headsets have pretty decent comfort, good noise cancelling, you can wear them with the boom mic on the left or right, which ever you prefer. When you flip the boom mic up it mutes the mic automatically which...

Tire machine onboard bead blaster not working

On our Corghi tire changer if I clamp the ID of the rim, with the outside clamp faces. the nozzles line up good to blow into the bead. If I leave the clamps holding the OD or the true bead lip area the nozzles don't blow into the bead very well at all like you discribe. I suspect this might be...

    Vertical Up MIG

If your willing to try an outer shield flux core wire, you'll be amazed how well the flux holds the weld puddle going vertical up and overhead. With the outer shield flux core wire you don't change polarity like you have to do with normal flux core ( self shielded ) wire. You'll also still need...

    Welder storage in unheated garage.

Several years ago I went through having a spool of wire rust some. Talk about making a frustrating time trying to weld and then take a few layers of wire off the spool to get it working. These days I take the spool of wire off the welder in the winter time if I don't plan on using the welder for...

    The Ridgid addiction thread

If they do release a cordless trimmer I'll most likely get that very soon. Really been thinking about getting the Milwaukee and a battery adaptor off Amazon and then I wouldn't need my gas trimmer at home anymore. I've got a small yard with very little trimming required.

Self sealing Rivet nuts. Anybody ever used them?

I thought about the threads as well. Until my searching tonight I didn't know they made blind rivet nuts that encapsulate the bolt. Thanks for the name of a good speaker for this application. There's still a fair chance I'll use the rivet nuts I already have and silicone them after installing...
