I recently picked up a Coats 70X, For what I paid its been a fine machine. I cannot get the onboard bead blaster (nozzles on the plate not the aux cheetah on a hose type) to work. By working, it will physically blow air in great quantities as it should but does not seat a bead, ever. The nozzles seem like they are not in the best locations to actually shoot in at the bead? Are these finicky to use or just a sales gimmick? I have a cheetah so I can seat beats but obviously thats more work than it needs to be.

On our Corghi tire changer if I clamp the ID of the rim, with the outside clamp faces. the nozzles line up good to blow into the bead.
If I leave the clamps holding the OD or the true bead lip area the nozzles don't blow into the bead very well at all like you discribe.

I suspect this might be your issue, hope it's something simple like this anyway.

Clamping the ID with my machine is brutal on aluminum, but yes I ran the clamps in and tried it that way. My machine has 4 fixed nozzles and 2 that are part of the jaws, seems an odd setup.
