Check with your dealer, there's a newer design cable assembly (SHCP1A-2) that you should get at no charge. It's a simple replacement, 2 minutes max.

Matco sells a 45 inch bar made from 1" square stock; not the longest but among the stiffest you can find! It's PBG45B with a green handle, or PBO45B with orange. Or, look for a similar bar made by Mayhew, #40166 I think, with a different handle.

All steel used By Mayhew for punches, chisels, scrapers, and pry bars is from US mills, and is forged/machined and assembled in USA. The "Dominator" handles are imported from Taiwan (for now). Mayhew purchased another company in MA to make their handles, and I assume the tooling for the molds...

I prefer the unpainted cold chisels made by Mayhew because the painted ones always chip and rust. Also Mayhew is made in USA, and makes for many of the big automotive brands.

Fantasies are good...I have many;-)! But the reality is that both companies have products that are sourced outside the US. The good news is that Mayhew will bring a big chunk back. I would guess that the total amount that Mayhew spends on handles is about the same as all Enderes products...

Mayhew Tools has manufactured punches and chisels in the USA since it started in 1856. But they went offshore (Taiwan) for their Dominator brand pry bar handles, and then assembled the bars in the US with US steel forged in Turners Falls, MA. They just announced the purchase of an injection...

Sooo... he said the bar was stamped "USA". That could also mean that the handle came from Taiwan, the bar was forged in US and assembled in US. By Mayhew, I'd bet.

Mayhew Dominator has striking pay bar line from 7" to 58" long, including a "monster" bar from 1" square stock.

Mayhew makes all their punches and chisels in Massachusetts since 1856.

The problem is that the OEM's and aftermarket parts OEM's are changing to the rounded ends. That means the Lylse crows foot style will not work. i recently took of a flat style tie rod but the replacement was round! The Mayhew Speedy saved my ****. I haven't needed or wanted to use anything else...
