    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Very cool to see the Bonneville pics. I especially liked the cx500, since I also used have one a few years back. Did you happen to see these guys from our home state of IL out there? They own 2 records from 2009 and have the worlds fastest Alfa at over 230MPH mot bad for a little...

    The Jones Garage Addition

Love the garage. Love the cars. Datsun 510 has always been one of my favorites. That video makes me want go back to the 70's and do a few Mulloholland runs.

T12 8ft cold weather shop lights

I have 2 very nice 8ft long T12 HO cold weather -40 degree start fluorescent light fixtures along with 9 cold weather (-20 start temp) bulbs still left out of a 10 pack. I bought these new at Menards last year and did some remodeling so I no longer need them. They work great. Like I said, almost...

    VW Poster?

I used to have that ad on my wall. I cut it out of an old Life magazine. You'd never get away with that nowdays. I thought it was hilarious.

Left over materials from siding and roofing project - Who do they belong too?

5 squares isn't an overestimate, it's incompetence. Either the insurance adjuster or the contractor just made a horrible estimate. If you are anywhere near central IL, just leave it out and I will come get it. :D

    NISSIN 3D Tube Bender

It's funny how perspectives vary. In a previous life, I spent several years programing and tweaking tubing benders for TI automotive, a supplier of (among other things) brake lines, fuel lines, transmission lines, etc., for several different automotive manufacturers. At this point, I really...

    My Lista Cabinet Repaint

We have literally hundreds if not thousands of Lista cabinets at the Cat facility where I work, most have been repainted at some point, mostly industrial blue rustoleum enamel with a brush or roller or cat yellow spray paint. They get used extremely heavily every day and they hold up just fine...

    The cuckoo's nest

I've seen some really nit picky things from the city over the years but that's right up there.

Compressed air system (pipe, valves, etc.)

I have probably 125-150feet of 1.25 O.D. black pipe (some of it is painted blue), several quick connects and tees and two or three valves, a few elbows, smaller sections, etc. All the quick connects are the larger size. most of the pipe lengths are 10ft This was the compressed air system pipe...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

For the love of god people, if the man wants to peen it, just let him peen it. It will probably work just fine, takes 12 seconds, and doesn't require a trip to the machine shop and 2 trips to the hardware store.:D

How long before tile thin set is good enough for grout?

As long as the tile isn't moving you are fine, just be very careful walking on them and avoid twisting motions for 24hrs. I used to lay tile for a living and there have been several times I grouted tile that was laid within 45 minutes and was still soft and movable...not ideal for working, but...

    Tying trusses together

Most builders don't bother to add anything that they don't have to, if they think they can get away with it and save a buck. I've seen tons of gable walls on truss roofs that were built very flimsy, to the point where I was surprised they passed inspection at all, but I'm sure you are fine with...

I can't remember whose garage this is in this picture, but he used ground copper is his floor coating and it turned out pretty sweet.
