    Epoxy Anchor installation

These are a little more than coffee filters but handy if filters won't stay in place when installing epoxy anchors. https://www.whitecap.com/Simpson-Str...626-137ETS626/ Simpson Strong-Tie 5/8 x 6" 60 M Anchoring Screen Tube Mfg#: ETS626 | SKU#: 137ETS626 Simpson Strong-Tie

    Wej-it anchors for the MaxJax

I'm sure you solved this by now, but for anyone reading with the same question these are a great solution that I used to keep the epoxy from going all the way through. https://www.whitecap.com/Simpson-StrongTie-58-x-6-60-M-Anchoring-Screen-Tube-27318/#ETS626-137ETS626/ Simpson Strong-Tie 5/8 x...

    Maxjax Installs: Post Here

Thanks. I got some temp casters from HF and drilled them out to fit. Not perfect but will work for a week until Danamar replacements arrive.

    Maxjax Installs: Post Here

Ordered a maxjax Black Friday and assembling now that Christmas stuff is out of the garage. The box was banged up in transit and the cart wheels are missing. I realize I can call Danamar but if it’s cheap and easy I’ll probably pick up a couple casters from a local store and make them work...

    Is this enough diamond grinding?

Mist the shiny places of concern with water and see if it wicks in immediately. If not, grind a little more.

Analysis paralysis; what system to use? Need Help!

I went the 100% solids epoxy route and did the work myself. Had I known beforehand how much prep was involved I might not have done it (or seriously considered hiring it done), but fortunately I ordered the product before realizing. Applying product was the easy/fast/enjoyable part. Very happy...

Wall Mount opener with roof-line track question

I'm definitely envious that you raised your garage ceilings and installed these wall mount jack drives. Nice job!I can't speak on the final outcome other than I don't think it looks too bad, and the spring is needed to lighten the load of the door for the opener. When springs fail the door slams...

Newbie here who recently epoxied floor

To be fair I didn't know I'd be doing the floor when I started cleaning out the garage. A lot of time was spent researching and learning on the fly. If I was doing it over I could prep one weekend and lay the floor the following. Reading about floors failing led to lots of extra prep.

NWFL in the panhandle, where the traffic isn't as bad. You're exactly right, thunderstorms cut many days short and waiting for low humidity was the hardest part. Worth it.

Thanks! Whole project took about 2-months of weekends including 3-holidays. Prep took the longest and laying floor was the fastest & most fun.

Haha! Yep! I better invest in a magnet. Lost a nut off my spiked shoes during install. Found it stuck to the epoxy next day.

You guys are completely right. The sense of accomplishment and experience going forward were priceless and I really have no regrets. Really wouldn't do it differently. It's a nicer floor then I ever imagined. To the question of what would I do different, the only thing I can think of is it would...

Thanks. I did document progress and thought it was funny that I had to meet a FedEx 18-wheeler at a truck stop bc it was a "freight" delivery and my house is on a cul de sac.

Newbie here who recently epoxied floor

This was my first epoxy floor and it's only been down a week. So I can't compare it to anything - just glad I didn't accidentally go water based from a box store unknowingly. I'll put a reminder to do a follow up in a year bc I'm sure all floors are nice week one. If I did it over I'd probably...

Newbie here who recently epoxied floor

Over the years the garage filled up with "stuff" to the extent I had to move my garage kept 93' fox body 5.0 mustang that I've had since HS (22-yrs) into the sun so my wife could store more things we don't use. After a year zig zagging around junk I hate and knowing my baby was baking in the sun...
