To all who commented thanks, and yes, the vette is very happy in the new garage! I've already had loads of comments on the fact that she's a 63' split window with a 67' big block hood, and a 74' 454 in it!! But who cares.... she's way too much fun to drive:bounce:

The garage is basically finished as far as the build goes. I will have a lot more to do in the future finishing the inside, but I'll post those on other forums, such as flooring, tools, etc, as I get them completed. I figured I would post a few more pics of the finished build. The garage...

That is soooo awesome :bowdown::bowdown: Curious as to where this is and what seaplane that is. My son is the demo pilot for Dornier seaplanes and will be greatly interested in it, as he has flown a great many seaplanes including Grumman Mallards, twin Otter on floats, Beavers, to...

Things have been going slower lately.... mainly because we are getting toward the end of the build. At the end it gets down to the minutia, where things go at a snails pace to finish all the small stuff. Only three things to complete before it's finished: The electrical (sounds simple...

First they made sure everything was square. Then they put up 2 x 4's to support the metal roof. Once they started putting the roof up, it went rather quickly: So the roof took basically two days to go up:

Decided to compromise on the ceiling height for the lift I get so that we didn't infringe on the view from our sunroom & house. I'll still have a lift, I just won't be able to have one I park under.

John, The very thing that makes it difficult (Slope/woods) is why we fell in love with the property!! The roof pitch is 8/12, on 2' centers. We didn't need the attic storage, so didn't consider attic trusses, plus the added cost.... We have plans for other out building storage. Also...

jktruck150, I didn't answer your last question....I'll show it soon, but my main project/love, is a 63' split window vette, modified w/ 67' big block hood/ 72' 454 corvette engine. Just love to drive it. I'll post some pictures of it towards the end of the build. Thanks.

The trusses showed up, and then the crew started loading them onto the frame. Put some 2 x 4's on the side of the garage to slide them up,,, and: Stacked about 7 of them up there, then slid the far gable end up, and set it in place. Squared that one up, then put the subsequent...
