Looks great, thanks for the review. I'm considering this for the daily driver portion of my Ohio garage where I wash cars all year long and winter tracks in lots of small road stones.

VCT in the shop area is installed. I left the area around the posts open so I can inspect the concrete. I'll dry lay tiles in those areas. Next I'll finish the lower wall area and install a threshold.
Quick update on progress. Painting is done and the closet is almost finished, just have some painting to wrap up. Laying VCT in a gray/black checkerboard pattern in the rear shop area. After that I'll start building the workbench.
I can get about 5' under the car so I do have to stoop or sit on a rolling stool. I could modify the trusses above to loft the ceiling, it would be a large project but is doable. I'd probably put the money towards building a detached garage and building a larger shop. For now, this will have to do.
My bro-in-law built a Cobra, very fast, but I prefer something more practical that I can drive to work. Our nice days only season is too short in Cleveland, OH.
Finally getting started on my garage upgrade! We had the house custom built in 2010. The front area of the garage is 22.5 x 22.5' and I use it to park the two daily drivers, wash the cars year round and store as little as possible.
The back area is 14x18' and has a lift that I had installed in...
Nice job, thanks for sharing. I've got a bunch of new ideas for my garage project that I'm starting. The work bench and cabinets look great.
BTW, my first car was an 89 MR2 and a few years later I found a mint 85 MR2 and couldn't resist purchasing. Both are long gone but not forgotten. I'd...
I thought about roll-up doors but I don't think they're insulated well and they take up lots of space comparred to swing-out doors.
The doors are recessed in about 12" plus there is a 24" soffit, snow doesn't pile up there and I'd have no reason to open the doors in the winter as this is my...
I have a walk out basement with a garage door that is about 9' wide and almost 7' tall. I would like to replace the garage door with swinging doors at least 8' wide. My bro-in-law suggested steel commercial doors such as those made by Ceco or Steelcraft. I need to retain the ability to park a...
