I am considering one of these myself. Any luck on the info side?

    Dry Cut Metal Chop Saw

I just picked up one of these (I know this is an old thread but I thought the basic 380 with the good frame was a thing of the past). https://www.homedepot.com/p/Evolution-Power-Tools-14-in-Steel-Cutting-Chop-Saw-EVOSAW380/204302724 I was happy with the price, the base is cast aluminum with the...

    Replace zone valve?

Not knowing where you live I would assume that you are not cold enough to need heat yet. I would recommend shutting down your heating system so that you can drain the lines associated with your valve, and then adequately bleed the lines after replacement. Silver solder is just fine, though...

Drywall - How Would You Fix This?

I have been doing my basement from new. If I did it again right now I would hire it out in a heartbeat. You will spend weeks doing what a pro can do in about 4 evenings.

Baldor Motor L1177T - or you could buy one of these and eliminate the phase converter adventures. the baldor website says that it only pulls 60 full load amps.

Need windows for my Maryland home

Try window world if you have an option close by. The windows that they sell are re-branded Alside Mezzo windows. That is what I am putting in my house during my renovation and I have not been disappointed. They also saved me like 30% off the comparable anderson/home depot/Lowes option

I am appreciating your progress pics too. I am doing almost the same level of rebuild myself currently while located in Everett.

    Anyone use a Pigeon Repeller??

Yup, they will move to the next most convenient spot. Netting hung across the bottom of the joists...possibly use high tension cables with moderate spacing to support the netting strung horizontally just below the joist lower chord

    The Concrete Underground

That is the way our milking barn doors have always been (with the sloped track) but with the addition of a counter weight so that the door doesn't slam shut on you from the mass of the door.

    Quincy 325 Roc 13

I have a 325 roc 14, practically the same pump, but I cannot picture what you are on about. Sounds like you are trying to get the oil pump to pump oil while spinning it in the wrong direction. If so, I believe that when you assemble the oil pump you must index part of it...don't remember which...

Questions about eaves on metal buildings?

I love big eves. I live in rainy Washington and have 4ft eves on my house. It is the greatest thing ever. The siding is approaching 70years old and has no rot and is original. As far as proportions go, it is personal preference. Most trusses that are standard have 24" eves.
