Who's using a mini split in youz shop?

I live in Georgia so it gets hot here but probably not as hot as Texas. My shop size will be the same as yours 30 x 50 x 14. When you say well insulated, what do you mean by well insulated?

Who's using a mini split in youz shop?

I will look into this. I’m sure the insulation they installed at erection is basic.

Who's using a mini split in youz shop?

My Old Tools, I also have a red iron shop. 40’x80’x16’. I have the roll insulation that was installed at time of erecting. How did you “add” insulation after the fact? I see the straps, but is that enough to keep it from sagging?

Pouring slab on top of existing slab

What he said. Do this and you’re good to go. Also, I think what he means by soft control joints (I’ve not heard this term) is a saw cut probably 1” deep in the new slab for control joints and if you have control joints in your lower slab be sure your new control joints are directly over the old...

My 30x50x12 metal garage in florida build thread

Do you have an update? I am researching this type of building. We live in GA and one concern I have read about in humid regions is condensation on the inside of the buildings. I plan on finishing my insides, but don't want to end up with a mold situation. Anyone have advice?

Old thread, how about an update? Sadly, prices have probably 4X+ since your build.

Eric, I don't know you other than from this thread. You are amazingly talented. I know depression and it is rough, get some help if you need it from the docs. As others have said, you have made it this far, you will definitely come out on the other end stronger from what life has thrown at you...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Bald is Beautiful - 7k sq feet+ of Gruntledness

I recognize the SATA name of course and know that’s a super brand. Not sure I’d be willing to commit to that level but maybe when I actually get closer to painting. Only another decade or so 😜

What spray gun did you go with. There are too many options and when you know nothing... Having used cheap guns I have learned that like most jobs, if you have good tools you can do decent work. Bad gun, don’t expect great results. PS I’m on Mud as well

Where to buy Japanese tap and die set

I stopped by my shop tonight to see what I had and I was surprised how many taps and dies I have accumulated over the years. Most have come from MC and look to be of good quality. I am glad I didn’t jump the gun and just order a set as it would have been a wast of money. I will go through them...

Where to buy Japanese tap and die set

Good idea. I forgot about how easy it is to buy those from MC. I have several so I will just go there and fill in the missing blanks. Thanks

Where to buy Japanese tap and die set

Doesn’t have to be Japanese. I just saw some quality stuff when surfing. Do t need brick and mortar. But what I don’t want is Chinese garbage. I don’t need a tap to break off in a hole and cause me more trouble, which I have had happen.

Where to buy Japanese tap and die set

I saw these mentioned, but then when I looked online there were some complaints about cheap metal and breakage. I did end up buying a set of JAWCO metric rethreading taps and dies. These were consistently highly regarded. Still need actual taps and dies tho.
