I've got 2 ace hardwares by me and the small mom and pop one still has a large selection of us a tools. A huge selection of USA impact sockets too.

The torsion springs on my door just broke last week! Original from 1968. A pro charged $260 for 2 new springs and a bracket installed. He recommended spraying the springs with wd40 once a month to protect them.

A decent usa made bench grinder that isn't severely over priced.

Do they still make wood handled shovels? Maybe you could swap it for one of those.

I have a few in my house, mostly in the front room at the top of the wall along the ceiling. My house was built in 1969 and has the original drywall, I guess its to be expected. I hammered some of them back in, put some spackle over them and painted. They look ok.

nine4gmc: Thanks for the information! I think you are right. The handles are slightly different, but I looked close on the lock tumbler (I don't have the key) and the first 2 letters were "GW." Here's a couple pics. I know you probably cant see the GW, but the holes are in the same spots as yours.

Get a new battery. Our Taurus did that when it got cold at night. Would start fine but all the presets and the clock would be wrong. New battery fixed it.
