    Antique plate roller

Thanks for the info. The 3/16” was a piece of scrap probably a little over a ft wide. It was a long time ago. I built a few fire rings for a camp ground and used 1/8” 16” wide. From what you said about your machines this is probably a 10 gauge maximum unit. I am mostly a 16 gauge and down shop...

    Antique plate roller

I just pulled this oldie out of storage to rebuild it. I have had this for about 20 years or so. It's one of those machines that i don't use often but when you need it it's there. It has 4 1/4" dia. Rolls. There isn't any markings or tags so I am wondering if anybody has ever seen one like it. I...

Anybody use HyperHeat (or similar) as the primary source of HVAC for whole house?

We install a lot of the Mitsubishi mini split systems in ma. The thing to Remember is that a space requires a specific amount of heat at the design temperature you are trying to maintain. The first thing to do is get an accurate manual J load calculation done. This will tell you what size...

You are correct. I am an HVAC fabricator and double cut is the way to go. They are not as maneuverable as single cut when making turns but it can be done.

How to test for leaks on a Mini-Split with Low Side Gauge Only

R 410a is made up of a blend of two different refrigerants. When you have a leak they do not leak out at the same rate. This is called temperature glide. So it is possible to have an unbalanced mixture of the two refrigerants in the remaining charge. The proper way to charge a ductless split is...

    2 car garage heater

Will the ambient temperature in the garage get below freezing when the system is off? If so you will have to antifreeze the entire system. Also your piping arrangement will need to be designed so that you do not shock the boiler with the cold return water coming back to the boiler from the unit...
