Thanks for the ideas. Is it possible to lose magnetism while it is running?

I have checked the owners manual and the 20 amp on off circuit switch for the outlets is the only thing I see that might have blown and I checked it and it has continuity.

I have a 5500 watt briggs and stratton generator. A friend was using it the other day because they lost electricity. He said it fired up and was working fine. They plugged a refrigerator, a deep freeze a tv and one lamp into the generator. Everything was working fine. He went to the store...
