For those that ask "how deep do a build my garage?"

To answer the qustion, 30 ft minimum. Mine is 40 ft. I also don't understand why people buy short bed duallys. The aren't very useful. The bed is too short for a load. If you have a fifthwheel or gooseneck Most people around here end up with a sliding fith wheel or set back ball for cab...

    Welding 1/4" with DC Stick - 110v or 220v with 1/8" 6011?

Some people won't agree with me, but I don't think a 110 welder will do it. Mine only works on thin metal. I have been welding for 50 years. I made a extension cord with 10/3 SO wire and have used it for over 30 years. I have had no trouble with it, no over heating or tripped breakers. I...

    Stick welding

I am 70 years old. I also learned to stick weld back in the 60's. I also trusted stick more than mig. I have a miller 251. I was building a dovetail on a gooseneck trailer, and thought I would try the mig, since it was faster. I cranked up the amps and did the job. The first time I used it, was...

    Sockets

I'm pretty sure the bluegrass one's were made in Louisville, Ky by Belknap hardware. I'm not sure, but I think they closed up in the mid 90's, maybe 95 or 96. Belknap was in downtown Louisille, I think about where the minor league baseball field is now.

I have built several personal use shops. My current one is 40 ft deep and 44 ft wide. I have room for my crew cab dually and have room to work around it. I also have room for a couple of cars on the side. My lift is to the left side of the 16 ft door.. Speed bump has the right ideas. I...

    Hilti TM7 questions.

I have one like it I got in 78 or 79. I still use it. I never thought about any value. I have been buying tools since my first set in 1968, which I still have. They are new Britain. I just use them along with the remline roller I bought in 1974, for $114.00

help with my new rotary lift spoa10 trio arms

I had a Rotary spoa10 a few years ago. After lifting a few 1 ton trucks with it, I sold it and bought a symmetrical lift. For anything except light cars the symmetrical is best. I live about 10 miles from the Rotary factory and my daughter worked there. She ordered it for me and her boss asked...
