That would be an option. Maybe that's what Danglerb meant with the "pit". I looked at the Mohawk lift that Oldcarguy recommended, but it's a bit more than I want to spend. I'm in the middle of a car restoration that is bleeding me dry. Maybe the lift is not where I should save but I just can't...
I thought about the "pit" but I'm afraid it would restrict some movement around the work area, plus with my luck I would probably end up tripping and breaking my legs.
I will have to double check, but i believe the ceiling height is 10ft. He would be able to raise the ceiling somewhat but I guess the 6 extra inches would mean he would have to install different trusses(sp?) and therefore it would change the roofline.
