Just checked back in and thanks to all for the responses! I'm in N. San Diego area. Nothing within an hour's drive as far as local quality in my price range. I'm definitely leaning towards the D43/44 for beefiness. I don't really intend on using an anvil for anything other than light duty stuff...

Wilton Shop King vs Colombian D43 or C43. Which would you choose? Or another option under $75 on eBay? I want something with pipe clamps and an anvil, and these fit the bill.

Looking at picking up a beefy vise for metal working, and ran across this 6" vise locally. Anyone recognize the make? Good deal for $50? Too big for small shop/ garage use?

One thing I have not seen mentioned is humidity. Most labels on spray cans recommend 60% humidity or less. Try breaking that rule and you'll likely get a bad "orange peel" effect. Both ambient temp and humidity should meet the recommended minimums for the paint to cure properly. RTFL! :thumbup:
