Picked up a new to me Milwaukee Bench Grinder. Couple Questions

I just picked up a new to me used 8" Milwaukee Bench Grinder. It is 3/4Hp Model 5041. I have seen 5040 but not 5041. It's in great shape and I got it for $60 CDN. Curious as to how old this grinder is? I only found one document in my searches and it was a parts breakdown sheet from 1993...

What would you pay? THICK welding tables

Like others have said, if you have access to a metal recycler in your area or a metal scrap yard you can save a bundle by building your own table. I found a guy local to me that gets paid to clean up excess steel from job sites or something like that and he resells it at scrap price. People...

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the guy that was selling these plans. Got them a while back. I modified a few things from the plans to suit my wants and needs as I went as well. Mainly used the plans for the "concept" I was going for. The plans were pretty much the same as I've...

Looks like the color you used for your grinder holders is the same as the color I used for my rotisserie... Tremclad grey. I have one side done... Just have to disassemble and paint the other side now.

I finally got a chance to do some more work on the rotisserie. I made and installed my arbor locks. Came out pretty good. Got some color on the mounting arms too. Next is to disassemble and start to paint the entire assembly grey then reassemble and put to use.

Bought them online a while back. Went on recently looking for settler again and it appears he is no longer on there.

Great idea. I was toying with ideas on how to lock the pins to allow for one man operation. Easier than always having to count on someone to be around to reposition body. Going to do Up some sketches and break out the plasma cutter. Thinking of a hook style so pin can't slip off...nothing...

    New 24 x 32 Garage

I purchased some plans and am following them mostly but have changed up a few things I wanted to improve on. Definitely heavy built rotisserie for sure. Don't believe in going half way on any build. If I'm going to do it going to do it right the first time.

I finally got around to doing some welding this month. Wanted a rotisserie for auto restoration and wasn't really happy with the options around me and a nice one would set me back my first born in shipping so I decided to build my own. Found a few designs I liked online and took what I liked...

    New 24 x 32 Garage

Got some more time out in the shop over the last couple weeks. Garage is still in a huge mess (maybe even worse). Haven't had much time to spare so I have been focusing on getting my rotisserie built, then I plan to do a full purge/clean/organize session to get things in order. Really happy...

    New 24 x 32 Garage

So not much new with the shop. Kinda in disarray again now. I have managed to hang a couple signs, got the loading dock light mount made and just have to wire up the light and install the switch. Picked up a dart board and case as well. Hoping to have that installed by the weekend. Also...

    Stainless work top

You have to be careful scoring the metal then bending it. May work better for thin gauge SS but I tried that on 1/4" and found the metal started to crack from trying to bend it where it's been ground thinner. The brake worked much better

    Stainless work top

I built a welding table and got 1/4 stainless for the top (got all steel from a guy selling it for scrap value... 40 cents a pound then...gave me stainless for the same price). I brought it to a shop and they did 2 bends in it for me (I marked where I wanted it bent) for $20 cash deal. Shop...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

finished the rebuild on my old car dolly to put it up for sale. Stripped it completely, repaired any rust and primed/repainted it. put new tires on it and rewired it adding new lights. Sold it in less than 2 days:rocker:

    Concrete failing around cut lines.

You can let the silks flow out and fill the broken sections. It will just take a little longer to fully cure .Watch to see that it levels out nice. I had to go back over a section or two as they settled a little more than I wanted. Also be careful not to put too much as it won't look as nice...
