    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Tinkering Tony's Workshop

Had something similar on my build. The reel wasn’t into the sheetrock but the opener couldnt be attached in the normal manner. Here is what we ended up with.

Need new mower for 3 acres

Buy commercial if you can afford to. A residential one one may leave you wanting. I would caution you that if you have any steep hills reconsider the zero turn. They lack traction on steep hills.

    Crawl Space - School Me

The new science says to treat a crawl space as a "conditioned space". When I built my house I had spray foam sprayed on the crawl space walls and the rim board. You want to put plastic down and seal it to the walls to prevent moisture. I have a heavy duty dehumidifier piped to the outside too...

Anybody have experience with encapsulated crawlspaces?

We live just outside Chattanooga, TN and recently finished construction on a 2,600 sq foot house on one level. I spent years researching crawlspaces and considerable time on greenbuildingadvisor.com . Our home is on the lake and is typical of a large amount of homes on the lake in that we have...

    Cable railings

We went with Westbury verticable from decksdirect.com. Total cost was maybe a little over $7,000 for material. I did the installation myself. Not complicated but time consuming for one person. This system has the vertical cables and comes in sections. Hoping that the pics show up, first...

TV wall mount 70" @75lbs, full motion, raise/lower, *ROTATE*

I've been looking for something similar for a while. We built a dock and I'm wanting an arm that will swing down from a horizontal position into a vertical position and the TV would then rotate to whatever position you want so you can watch from wherever you are. I found the arm and now I need...

Home Depot 4ft LED Shop Light - Thoughts?

You may want to look at T8 led lights. We just got a quote the other day at work and each T8 led light was $14.50. Do the math, can replace a 4 tube fixture for $60.

    Flashlights

For part of my job I'm over a private over the road truck fleet including maintenance. We are currently going through Maglight flashlights at a pretty good clip. I'm interested in providing a bright and durable flashlight to my techs. I don't mind spending for one that will last and provide...

Hoovey, how far along are you on your house?

    Ductless mini split

UncleTom, how many of the wall/ceiling units do you have? From the research I've done each outside unit can power multiple inside units. I'm looking at around 2600-2700 sq ft on one level. I'm thinking of going with ceiling units as they will be less noticeable. No one around here seems...

    Ductless mini split

Tommy, are you using it mainly for cooling or equal combination of heating and cooling? Also, are you using them in conjunction with another system? If I go this route I want to be able to depend on them for 100% heating and cooling.

    Ductless mini split

Anyone using these either for home or shop use? Just read through the geothermal thread and while I'm interested in that, I'm also interested in the mini split systems. The house I'm wanting to build will be an ICF so it will be very well insulated.
