Hi All, I have a 30'x60' metal building. The columns are at a 12' spacing and made of 4" square tubing. The girts and purlins are made of 3" red iron c-channel. The spacing of the girts is one at the floor, another at 3.5' and then a third at 7' running horizontal I want to build an interior...

When the building was constructed, the contractor installed insulation that comes in rolls. The insulation is sandwiched between the columns/girts and the corrugated metal siding. I have no plans on adding any additional insulation.

I have searched this forum for similar threads but haven't been able to find an answer. So sorry if this has been asked before. What I want to do is install interior walls in my metal shop building. The current framing is C-channel for the horizontal wall girts that are spaced roughly 3' apart...

Thanks for all of the responses. I am glad to see some people are having good results with t5ho. I certainly don't disagree that using the 32t8 in 3 rows of 4 would provide the best overall lighting. I just hesitated going that route because I thought T8 bulbs were going to be phased out...

Charles, Yep, it is a steel structure. Picture attached (best I had on hand). What are your thoughts about the alum reflectors vs white? My thoughts were that the white broad reflector would be best for the most even coverage. I like the uplighting idea, they just dont seem to exist in the box...
