Thanks Davefr! Once the casters are retracted, the tool sits pretty firmly on the floor.

Thanks Jayman It’s a vintage dental cabinet from somewhere in the space/time continuum. I was told it’s from the ‘40’s.

Same for us. Both retired and you’ve got me by 9 years on the marriage front. About the only time she shows up at the shop lately is to make sure I’m not bleeding and still breathing. Or, if I need help with something. So, in between working on fun stuff, I’ll pick up my guitar, write songs...

I married a “car girl”, which is a two edged sword. She doesn’t hesitate to jump in to lend a hand whether it be turning a wrench or dropping an engine in one of the classic cars we’ve restored. I believe I’ll keep her:)

Sorry it took awhile to respond. I was on my knees facing South with your “biblical flood” photos in front of me on my Ipad, repeatedly bowing to pay homage to your tenacity. Well done! I couldn’t help but notice the blue on your desk and cabinet. That wouldn’t be the result of a marital...

Beautiful! It appears that you chose to “boldly go where no man, (or human), has gone before”. I do a lot of work with copper so I appreciate the choice. Be well Jeff

Thanks and welcome Michael! You’re not the first to wonder about the apparent “weakness” of my choice, but the file cabinet is not your run of the mill lightweight. It’s a very well built, heavy industrial unit that the drill press is bolted to. It sits on a custom made dolly of aluminum angle...

“Uncle!”, hands down, you win! Your vision must be incredible to see through the layers of neglect and recognize the beauty that lies beneath. I too have rescued some rusty relics but nothing on a scale such as that, whatever it is. I have a consideration for a restoration: if I need a...

Hah! Great idea. Thanks for the kind words. My “junkyards” are a weekly flea market too close by not to go hunting in, and FB Marketplace. All of these projects help to keep my mind fresh, if not my words. Be well Jeff
