    IR W7150 case latch?

the vendor I ordered the latches from didn't even have them in stock 10 days later, so I cancelled the order. I figured I might as well try customer support again, only this time I tried tech support first. it occurred to me if there had been a new latch designed, that they might be able to...

Mystery Tool Of The Week! What is this?

those wouldn't be drive gears, so it wouldn't matter much. and it's for sure something out of a small machine, so there's not a lot of torque being made regardless.

Mystery Tool Of The Week! What is this?

yep. change gears for a fairly small, probably highly accurate lathe or maybe gear cutter. which makes sense if this had anything to do with clock repair and/or design.

    IR W7150 case latch?

well there's two hinges, and two latches. the hinges are a typical sturdy build with metal pins. the latches though are literally just an oval piece of very flimsy cheap plastic that bends nearly in half each time you unlatch it. and from the first use, I knew it was poorly made. but I could...

    IR W7150 case latch?

it completely boggles my mind how cheap those latches are. basically an oval piece of plastic that bends in half each time you unlatch the case. but you're right about the tool though, holy smokes that thing is a beast.

    IR W7150 case latch?

So I thought i'd give this another shot to see if I could get through a transaction, and I found a toolpartsdirect.com that had them, and it was "only" $8.00 shipping. Which still stinks, really. $16 total for two cheap latches that weigh a total of maybe an ounce. It just seems so scattershot...

    IR W7150 case latch?

I did, but they referred me to Buckeye tool here in Ohio, and they don't actually have the item on their website, so you have to order it over the phone with a CC, something that I won't do for multiple security reasons. So I found the air tool pro, and the minimum purchase was $75. And...

    Made in the USA

Anyone who wants to understand how we got here, should watch this video. Narrated by Martin Sheen, it's a very professionally made movie on all the underhanded dealings that went on to take our manufacturing base.

    IR W7150 case latch?

So i'm trying to find a replacement latch for the W7150 K2 case. They're just a few bucks, but one vendor wants $45 to ship two of them, and the other vendor needs a minimum $75 order. Anyone know of a better site to order them from?

Air hammer to remove wheel bearing assembly?

I'm going to go with one of these. The exact same model is sold under 4 or 5 different brands and all list it at 3,600 watts. So i'm figuring a real world 2,000 watts or so, which puts it up there with some of the models from the better brands like Makita and Bosch...

Air hammer to remove wheel bearing assembly?

the rust issue is a major reason I still drive my plastic body 2007 Saturn Vue. that, and the Honda V6 powertrain they came with. :D
