Liftmaster 8500 Remote Push Button Question

You can have multiple hard wired switchs. The switches are just simple N.O. push to close circuits.

    Low flow in radiant system

The only thing that will change by increasing (GPM) pump size is the rate at which the slab will increase in temp. Ex., If you are inputting 100 deg. fluid into a 300 ft. 1/2" loop in a 70 deg. slap at the start of the heat cycle there is a place in that loop where fluid is equal to slab temp...

    Low flow in radiant system

This unit is activated by flow through the system and has no control over the rate of flow. Usually high efficiency boilers have control over both flow and fire rate to achieve max efficiency. Since they left it to the consumer to add the pump and all the other variables that come into play...

    Garage floor crack free

I agree, but this shrinkage is controllable to the point where cracking is extremely unlikely. When I referenced concrete being poured properly I had things like: cement to aggregate ratio, aggregate size and quality, water ratio, curing temps, water bleeding vs evaporation rate, etc.. The...

    In floor heat bolier type

This condensation fluid should not be underestimated. For a gallon of propane it is almost a gallon of acidic water. Not sure of the ratio for ng.

    Garage floor crack free

So if the base is solid, well packed and stable the concrete will not crack if poured properly. The problem is that with varying moisture levels and temperature changes the base will move leading to areas of tension in the concrete. For my shop in early June I had the site prepped for the...

Is my boiler short cycling? Why is it running so often?

If cost are a concern, I would look at the buildings thermal efficiency. Locating and addressing any problems with the thermal envelope of the building bring savings in time. Take a look at FLIR One (no affiliation), I purchased one and it has paid for itself in less then a year. You would...

In-Floor Heat with Auxiliary Modine Unit Heater in Workshop

For smaller jos or situation perhaps heat lamps would surfice. Just a thought.

    Pole building wall insulation

On my pole building with 10' centers, I also wrapped exterior, hung 10' wide one piece fiberglass blankets, covered ceiling and wall cavities with heavy plastic vapor barrier tapping the seams, then ran horizontal girts on walls for the wall covering. The 1.5 spacing of the interior girts gave...

    Low flow in radiant system

I could be wrong, but it looks like you are drawing the fluid through your restrictions. If that is the case, rearrange so you are pushing fluid through your boiler and floor loops. On second look your floor loop pump is pointed correctly but should be after the "H" arrangement. Also check...

Is my boiler short cycling? Why is it running so often?

Electric heat is 100 percent efficient so the only thing to consider is the buildings efficiency to hold the heat. I would set the cycle rate to at least 30 min. if the boiler uses mechanical contacts.

In-Floor Heat with Auxiliary Modine Unit Heater in Workshop

I would just bump up the temp in the shop the day before painting. This would bring everything (paint and objects being painted) up to temp. Adjusting temp back down after painting would allow time for paint to cure before shop cools back down. Adding a fan in the shop would stir the dust. The...

    In floor heat bolier type

If you need DHW, the Weil Mclein aqua balance is price right providing it comes with warranty. One thing not mentioned is with high efficiency boilers having fresh air intakes, the concerns over fuel vapor ignition from the boiler is removed.

44x48 Garage with 16' ceilings Best way to cool it??

I have similar situation, (60x65) radiant heat. I used a window air conditioner last year and worked really well besides having to install and uninstall. I have researched a water cooler to run through a water/air heat ex-changer first before running into floor to control humidity and lower...

New Build - Outlets along wall - alternate circuits?

Also be careful when wiring a mwbc. Be careful that the neutral connections are properly secured. If the neutral path is broken you will have a 240v circuit instead of 120v under certain conditions.
